Chief of the SA National Defence Force Women's Day Parade 2019, 29 August 2019

Every year, in August our country marks Women's Month to pay tribute to the more than 20 000 women who took a stand for human rights. As the month of August draws to an end, the Department of Defence (DOD) deemed it fit to end off Women's Month in a prestige manner by presenting the annual Chief of the SA National Defence Force Women's Parade.

The Minister of Defence and Military Veterans, Ms Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula, delivered a keynote address at the Pretoria Military Sport Club in Thaba Tshwane. She encouraged women to take courage from the fearless women of 1956.
