FEMALES OF RSABATT PATROLS THE AREAS OF MAYI MOYA

On the 11 August 19 Alpha Company from RSABATT females did interactive patrols from the Company Operating Base (COB) to Mayi Moya Village where they are deployed, which is situated in the North Kivu Province in the Eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), which had been wrecked by violence and human rights violations. As part of the Women’s month the females took time to do interactive patrols by moving from house to house making enquiries as well as interacting with locals around Mayi Moya village.

A huge number of villagers who once left their houses due to violence have returned and Mayi Moya is peaceful due to the presence of South African Peacekeepers. South African National Defence Force is proud for sending strong, capable women to areas to protect the people of the war torn Province in the DRC.
