Human Resource practitioners graduate from the course

The constitution requirement of the modernisation of the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) is gradually realised as about 71 Military Skills Development System Human Resources practitioners obtained their qualifications during the Personnel Service School passing-out parade on 3 October 2012 in Thaba Tshwane.
These members of the 700 PC 2012 01 M intake have been involved and are competent with subjects such as the Conventions of Service Writing, Human Resource Functions, Labour and Service Relations, Record Management, Client Service, Human Resource Maintenance, Persol Orientation , Leave System and Inland Accommodation Expenditure
According to Maj Gen Manfred Mabuza, the GOC Training Formation, the members will help the SANDF to address the critical skills gap the organisation has been experiencing.
“The training you are completing this morning is not just an ordinary one as you have been trained in the Human Resources competencies in line with the requirements, namely, Personnel Clerk, Functional Training and Computer Mainframe Training and therefore has been carefully designed and packaged to exactly address those issues. In our quest to the realisation of a professional SANDF, you are entrusted with a responsibility to contribute towards the development of our organisation .We are this morning celebrating your single step that becomes a building block for the future, as the future of this organisation firmly rests in your shoulder and you must be privileged to be proud of.” Maj Gen Mabuza said.
Meanwhile three members of the 700 PC 2012 01 M received their awards for their outstanding academic achievements during the course, and are as follows:
The Best Academic Student for the 700 PC 2012 01 M went to Pte Deon van der Merwe, while the Second best academic student award was scooped by Pte Marinda Fourie, while Seaman Sepudutsoana Tshehlana obtained the third place.
