Deputy Minister Makwetla Delivers a Keynote Address at the Land Forces Africa 2012 Conference

The Deputy Minister of Defence and Military Veterans Mr Thabang Makwetla will tomorrow, 29 May 2012 deliver a keynote address at the three-day Land Forces Africa 2012.

Land Forces Africa 2012 is the key platform in defence and security industry to discuss collaboration and streamlining of landward military operations in Southern Africa.

This year’s event aims, among others, to enhance better coordination of military missions for peacekeeping in Africa, defending national borders and facilitate acquisition of necessary equipment for land defence forces in the SADC Region.

Amongst other prominent speakers will be Lieutenant General Vusimuzi Masondo of the SANDF, who will address on expectations and future roles of ground forces in Africa andLieutenant General Chander Prakash, Force Commander, MONUSCO, UN in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
