Request for broadcast: Announcement of high noise levels: G1 88mm Gunshots during the Chief of South African Army Gala Evening at Denel Land Systems Lyttelton in Pretoria

The Chief of the South African Army, Lieutenant-General Solly Shoke, will host a SA Army Gala Evening on 26 November 2010 at Denel Land Systems Production Line Hangar in Pretoria at Lyttelton.

The program will include the firing of gunshots with G1 88mm guns. Due to its loud noise level, residents of the neighbouring areas are requested to take note that the G1 88mm guns will be shooting blanks during preparation and execution of the event on the following dates:

• 24 November 2010 between 14:00 and 16:00.
• 25 November 2010, between 18:00 and 20:00.
• 26 November 2010 between 19:00 and 21:00

The South African National Defence Force (SANDF) kindly apologises for any inconvenience which may be caused by this noise level on the afore-mentioned dates.
