STATEMENT BY SA NATIONAL DEFENCE FORCE (SANDF) HEADQUARTERS PRETORIA: SANDF PARTICIPATION IN NATIONAL FREEDOM DAY CELEBRATIONS

The SA National Defence Force (SANDF) as instructed by the Commander in Chief His Excellency President Thabo Mbeki, will once again proudly form part of the National Freedom Day Celebrations on 27 April 2008 at Turfhall Park Softball Stadium in Landsdowne (Cape Town).

The colourful military ceremony will include a Guard of Honour by the National Ceremonial Guard, National Salute, 21 Gun Salute, Salute Flight by two Oryx helicopters, National Anthem by the Military Ceremonial Band, and a fly past by the South African Air Force Dakota and Pilatus aircrafts.
