REMINDER: STATEMENT BY THE SOUTH AFRICAN NATIONAL DEFENCE FORCE (SANDF) REGARDING FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS OF THE TWO SANDF SOLDIERS WHO PASSED AWAY IN THE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO (DRC)

The funeral service of Staff Sergeant Sam Davids (37) will be held at the NG Kerk in Kappertjie Street, Victoria West (Northern Cape Province) on Saturday 18 October 2008 at 10:00. The remains of Staff Sergeant Davids will be laid to rest at the Victoria West Cemetery. He is survived by his mother, son, four brothers and one sister.

The funeral service of Corporal Morney Reinaart Molouly (27) will be held at the United Dutch Reform Church at 08:30 in Rus Street, Danville in Mafikeng (North West Province) on Saturday 18 October 2008. The remains of Corporal Molouly will be laid to rest at the Danville Cemetery. He is survived by his mother, Father, two Sisters and a cousin.

The two soldiers were members of the 8 South African Infantry battalion deployed in support of the United Nations Mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo MONUC.
