INVITATION TO ATTEND SA ARMY EXERCISE SEBOKA
OPEN DAY: THURSDAY 16 OCTOBER 2008
A force of close to 5 000, including about 18
SA Army units and various support units from the
SA Air Force, SA Navy and the SA Military Health
Services, are converged at the SA Army Combat
Training Centre in Lohatlha, Northern Cape.
This force will participate in Exercise
Seboka over the period 08 to 19 October 2008.
Exercise Seboka is an annual joint conventional
exercise, aimed at presenting a simulated combat
opportunity to exercise SA Army forces,
integrated with other Arms of Services.
This year’s Open Day will be presented on
Thursday 16 October 2008. The highlights of the
day will be marked by a static display,
simulated recapturing of an oilfield, an
integrated Armour attack in a built up area, and
a mobile mechanised attack supported by Rooivalk
Attack Helicopters, Armour and Artillery. The
Minister of Defence Charles Nqakula will address
the media.
