MEDIA INVITATION BY DEPARTMENT OF DEFENCE HEADQUARTERS

INVITATION TO ATTEND THE SOUTH AFRICAN AIR FORCE WINGS INSIGNIA AND RANK COMMISSIONING PARADE

The Chief of the SA Air Force, Lieutenant General Carlo Gagiano, will on Friday 05 December 2008, present Wings Insignia and Commission Ranks to local and international pilots and engineers at Air Force Base Swartkop.

Lieutenant General Gagiano will among others, present flying wings to at least nineteen pupil pilots and two Air Force Reserve pilots. Four Botswana pilots will also obtain their flying wings. In addition, four load masters, five flight engineers, four navigators and two radio operators will also receive their flying wings.

You are hereby cordially invited to send a journalist and/or a photographer/cameraperson to attend the Wings Insignia and Rank Commission Parade at AFB Swartkop on Friday 05 December 2008 at 09:40 for 10:00.
