The South African Air Force (SAAF) confirms that a jet A1 fuel spillage was experienced at Air Force Base Waterkloof on Thursday, 06 July 2006.

The fuel spillage was contained within Air Force Base Waterkloof`s perimeter and therefore does not pose any danger to the surrounding areas and the environment.

Investigations are currently underway to establish circumstances that led to the fuel spillage.
