STATEMENT BY SA NATIONAL DEFENCE FORCE (SANDF) HEADQUARTERS PRETORIA: IMPALA CRASH

An Impala MkII aircraft from 85 Combat Flying School crashed near Hoedspruit, in the Limpopo Province earlier today (Monday, 04 July 2005) shortly after take-off. The pilot ejected safely.

A Board of Inquiry has been convened to investigate the incident.
